Eggs have spontaneously appeared between our boats, there are blossoms on the trees – it can only mean one thing: spring is here. The new racing season has kicked off in earnest now that the worst of winter is behind us. The first two Sunday races have been held, in the variable kind of weather one might expect in March.
We have also been busy sprucing up the clubhouse. There is a new fridge, new paintwork on the walls and floors, new skirting boards… and everyone has been chipping in to get the club looking nice.
After all, we are hosting folks from the RYA and other clubs on Monday the 18th of March.
Then as soon as the clocks go forward an hour, we will be back on the water on Wednesday evenings too, from the 3rd of April, and we’ll have our club open day on Saturday May 18th!
